 V Deutsch (de)In der Kompostierung von Stallmist laufen dieselben Prozesse ab wie die für den Pflanzenkompost beschriebenen. In seiner ausgereiften, veredelten Form bildet sich ein Dauerhumus der besonderen Art. Dessen Kräftekonstellation bewahrt die dem Mist mitgegebene Astralität der Haustiere. Deren Seelenkräfte sind es, die dem Dünger die außerordentliche Langzeitwirkung verleihen. Im besonderen Maß gilt dies für den Kompost aus reinem oder auch in Teilen zugesetztem Rindermist. Er vermittelt dem Leben der Pflanze Kräfte, die über das Astralisch-Seelische hinausreichen und die im Kap. «Das Rind» als «Ich-Anlage» angesprochen wurden. Mit dieser Bezeichnung wird auf einen Kräftezusammenhang höherer Ordnung verwiesen, der die Kulturpflanzen nicht nur zum Bild ihres übersinnlichen Wesens macht, sondern in ihnen die Anlage schafft, dass dieses Wesen zu dem, was in vergangener Evolution von ihm raum-zeitlich ins Werk geronnen ist, nämlich die in Erscheinung tretende Pflanzengestalt, wieder in Beziehung treten und neue Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten inaugurieren kann. Damit wird deutlich, dass die wahre Düngung aus der belebten und beseelten Natur einen züchterischen, einen Entwicklungswert für die Kulturpflanzen hat und haben muss.
 V Englisch (en)In the composting of farmyard manure the same processes run their course as those described for plant compost. In its fully ripened, refined form a stable humus of a particular kind is built up. Its force-constellation preserves the astrality of the domestic animals carried in the manure. It is their soul forces that lend the manure its extraordinary long-term efficacy. This holds in especial measure for compost from pure cattle dung, or from cattle dung mixed in part with other dung. It mediates to the life of the plant forces that reach beyond the astral-soul realm — forces spoken of in the chapter "The Cow" as "I-disposition." This designation points to a nexus of forces of a higher order, one that not only makes the cultivated plants the image of their supersensible being, but creates within them the disposition for that being to enter into relationship again with what, in past evolution, congealed out of it in space and time as accomplished work — namely, the plant form as it steps into appearance — and to inaugurate new possibilities of development. It becomes clear from this that true manuring from enlivened and ensouled nature has, and must have, a breeding value, a value for the development of cultivated plants.
 V Spanisch (es)En la compostaje del estiércol de establo transcurren los mismos procesos que los descritos para el compost vegetal. En su forma madura y refinada se constituye un humus estable de índole especial. Su constelación de fuerzas preserva la astralidad de los animales domésticos que fue comunicada al estiércol. Son sus fuerzas del alma las que confieren al abono su extraordinaria eficacia a largo plazo. De manera particular vale esto para el compost de estiércol de vaca puro o al que se ha añadido en parte estiércol bovino. Transmite a la vida de la planta fuerzas que alcanzan más allá de lo anímico-astral y que en el cap. «El ganado bovino» fueron denominadas «disposición del Yo». Con esta denominación se apunta a un nexo de fuerzas de orden superior que no solo hace de las plantas cultivadas imagen de su ser suprasensible, sino que crea en ellas la disposición para que ese ser pueda volver a relacionarse con lo que en la evolución pasada se ha cuajado de él en el espacio y el tiempo —a saber, la forma vegetal que aparece ante los sentidos— e inaugurar nuevas posibilidades de desarrollo. Con ello se hace evidente que la verdadera fertilización proveniente de la naturaleza vivificada y animada tiene y debe tener un valor selectivo, un valor de desarrollo para las plantas cultivadas.
