 V Tschechisch (cs)Sáhne-li člověk do kompostové hromady, která se nachází na počátku fáze zeměnění, drží v rukou tmavohnědou až načernalou substanci, jež ještě obsahuje poslední, mikroby porostlé zbytky kořenů, stonků a listů a je zpravidla klubkovitě protkána velkou masou zmíněných kompostových červů. Červi i ostatní drobní živočichové odumírají, jakmile je stráven i poslední zbytek organických pozůstatků a v endogenní symbióze se střevními bakteriemi se mění v trus. Ten je jakožto étericko-oživená substance prosycen astrálními silami, jež trávicí hmota vstřebala průchodem skrze živočišný trávicí trakt. Tyto síly působí na jedné straně proměnu výživného humusu v trvalý humus a zkrocují odbourávající činnost mikrobů — nebo ji dokonce obracejí v budovatelskou. Na druhé straně jsou to astrální síly zprostředkované živočichem, které umožňují spojení s jílovými minerály a vznik jílovo-humózních komplexů. V této závěrečné fázi lze plným právem hovořit o astralizaci, o oduševnění hlinité hromady. Vše se organicky formuje a individualizuje v sjednocený celek.
 V Deutsch (de)Greift man in einen am Anfang der Vererdungsphase befindlichen Komposthaufen hinein, so hält man eine dunkelbraune bis schwärzliche Substanz in Händen, die noch letzte, von Mikroben besetzte Wurzel-, Stängel- und Blattreste enthält und häufig knäuelartig von einer großen Masse der genannten Kompostwürmer durchsetzt ist. Die Würmer und anderes Kleingetier sterben ab, sobald auch der letzte Rest an organischen Rückständen verdaut ist und, in endogener Symbiose mit den Darmbakterien, zur Losung wird. Diese ist als ätherisch belebte Substanz gleichsam imprägniert mit Astralkräften, die die Verdauungsmasse im Durchgang durch den tierischen Darmtrakt aufgenommen hat. Sie bewirken einerseits die Verwandlung von Nährhumus in Dauerhumus und zügeln die abbauende Tätigkeit der Mikroben oder lenken sie gar um zu einer aufbauenden. Andererseits sind es die vom Tier vermittelten Astralkräfte, die die Verbindung mit den Tonmineralien zur Bildung von Ton-Humus-Komplexen ermöglichen. Man kann in dieser Endphase mit Fug und Recht von einer Astralisierung, einer Beseelung des Erdhügels sprechen. Alles formt und individualisiert sich organismisch zu einem einheitlichen Ganzen.

This, as an etherically enlivened substance, is as it were impregnated with astral forces, which the digestive mass absorbed in its passage through the animal digestive tract. On one side, these bring about the transformation of nutritive humus into stable humus and rein in the microbes' breaking-down activity or redirect it altogether toward a building-up one. On the other side, it is the astral forces mediated by the animal that make possible the bonding with the clay minerals to form clay-humus complexes. One may, with full right, speak of an astralization, an ensoulment of the earth mound in this final phase. Everything shapes and individualizes itself organismi­cally into a unified whole.

Les vers et autres petits animaux meurent dès que le dernier reste de résidus organiques est digéré et, en symbiose endogène avec les bactéries intestinales, devient déjection. Celle-ci, en tant que substance animée par l'éthérique, est pour ainsi dire imprégnée de forces astrales que la masse en digestion a absorbées lors de son passage dans le tube digestif de l'animal. D'une part, elles provoquent la transformation de l'humus nutritif en humus stable et brident l'activité dégradante des microbes, voire la réorientent vers une activité constructive. D'autre part, ce sont les forces astrales transmises par l'animal qui permettent la liaison avec les minéraux argileux pour la formation de complexes argilo-humiques.
