Tazatelům šlo o ideje, o duchovní pravdivé obrazy, které by zemědělské práci nad pouhou provozní techniku znovu daly smysl a — budou-li tyto ideje uchopeny — mohly znovu vybudovat duchovně-morální most k věcem a bytostem v přírodě a kosmu. Zemědělský kurz obsahuje zárodečné položení základů pro vývoj zemědělství budoucnosti, v němž skrytý proud impulsů křesťansko-západního zemědělství vstupuje v hlubinné metamorfóze na povrch věku vědomí. Rudolf Steiner navázal bezprostředně na otázky lidí, kteří stáli ve staré, smrti zasvěcené zemědělské kultuře a kteří hledali přístupy k její obnově. Rudolf Steiner knüpfte unmittelbar an die Fragen von Menschen an, die in der alten, dem Tode geweihten Landbaukultur standen und die nach Ansätzen zu deren Erneuerung suchten. Er knüpfte an ein gerade noch bestehendes Vergangenes an, um es in ein Zukünftiges zu verwandeln. Er appellierte dabei an das denkende Bewusstsein des tätigen, in der Praxis stehenden Menschen.

Rudolf Steiner connected directly with the questions of people who stood within the old, death-consecrated farming culture and who were seeking approaches to its renewal. He connected with a just-still-existing past in order to transform it into a future. In doing so he appealed to the thinking consciousness of the active human being standing in practice.
