All the manure preparations, with the exception of the valerian preparation, are introduced separately into the compost and dung heaps in holes 30–50 cm deep, at distances of 50 cm to 3 m apart depending on the size or length of the heaps. The stinging nettle preparation — standing so close to the heart-function — is customarily placed centrally on the back of the heap; the four siblings, staggered relative to one another, have their place on the flanks. Its efficacy is an astrally radiating one — that is, a quality that makes itself apparent in the sense-perceptible appearance, but that cannot be measured in quantitative terms.
