Diese Gesinnung kann sich nicht mit der kausal-analytischen, quantitativ-reduktionistischen Methodik des akademischen Forschens begnügen. Die Forschungsbemühungen weiten sich im Gegenteil auf die qualitative Seite des Wahrnehmens und Denkens, nämlich auf die Frage, welche tieferen Erkenntnisse zu gewinnen sind, wenn der forschende Blick sich auf die Ganzheit des Hofes richtet, seine Glieder und alles, was sich da lebendig und in seelischem Eigenleben entwickelt. Wohin das Auge auch schaut, es sieht nie ein Einzelnes, sondern immer einen Zusammenhang, in dem dieses Einzelne erscheint. Erst der Verstand abstrahiert aus dem Zusammenhang das Einzelne und stellt es in Begriffsform vor. Der Zusammenhang verblasst dabei oder gerät ganz außer Betracht. Das kennzeichnet das kausal-analytische Vorgehen. |
| V Englisch (en) | In intimate connection with the spiritual-cultural initiatives that radiate from biodynamic farms stands practice-near research. After both — teaching and research — gradually detached themselves from agriculture over two hundred years and became academised, agriculture submitted itself to a scientifically-technological progress that directed it from without, losing in the process the self-governance rooted in instinctive folk wisdom. Running counter to this, out of the practice of biodynamic farming there has grown from the very beginning a researching attitude and inner disposition that takes up the traditional methods, transforms them, and makes them the foundation of its further-reaching spiritual aims. This inner disposition cannot content itself with the causal-analytical, quantitative-reductionist methodology of academic research. The research endeavours extend themselves instead onto the qualitative side of perceiving and thinking — namely onto the question of what deeper cognitions are to be gained when the researching gaze turns toward the wholeness of the farm, its members, and all that develops there in living and soul-bearing self-life. Wherever the eye turns, it never sees an isolated thing — it always sees a context in which that thing appears. Only the intellect abstracts from the context the isolated thing and places it before itself in conceptual form. The context grows pale in the process, or falls entirely out of view. That marks the causal-analytical procedure. |
| V Spanisch (es) | En íntima vinculación con las iniciativas espiritual-culturales que irradian de las granjas biodinámicas se halla la investigación ligada a la práctica. Después de que la enseñanza y la investigación se han ido desvinculando de la agricultura a lo largo de doscientos años y se han academizado, esta se ha sometido al progreso científico-tecnológico que la dirige desde fuera, a costa de perder la madurez que la fundaba en una sabiduría instintivo-popular. En sentido contrario a eso, ha crecido desde el principio, desde la práctica del cultivo biodinámico, una actitud y disposición investigadora que retoma los procedimientos tradicionales, los transforma y los convierte en fundamento de sus objetivos espirituales más avanzados. Esta disposición no puede conformarse con la metodología causal-analítica, cuantitativo-reduccionista de la investigación académica. Los esfuerzos investigadores se amplían, al contrario, hacia el lado cualitativo del percibir y del pensar: hacia la pregunta de qué conocimientos más profundos pueden obtenerse cuando la mirada investigadora se dirige a la totalidad de la granja, sus miembros y todo lo que allí se desarrolla con vida propia y con vida anímica propia. Donde sea que se pose la mirada, nunca ve algo aislado, sino siempre un contexto en el que ese algo aislado aparece.
