The multiple opening and closing of the floret-encircled flower head, the movement of the receptacle, and the radiant outshining of the blossom-colony into the periphery — these are expressive gestures that point, in an image-like way, to the nearness of the working of the soul or astral body of this particularly highly developed composite plant. But not even that is all: once more it shines out during seed formation, transforming the hair-fine cotyledons into silvery gleaming little umbels that arrange themselves like stars into an image of the spherical form of the cosmos.
